TachoSAFE is a comprehensive digital tachograph data management ecosystem that integrates purpose-built hardware components with advanced cloud-based data storage, processing, and analytics services. Our team was engaged to architect and implement sophisticated data processing algorithms and visualization solutions that transform raw tachograph data into actionable business intelligence. Additionally, we developed an enterprise-grade reporting platform that enables transportation companies to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements while optimizing fleet operations and driver management.

Strategy and planning

From an architectural perspective, we engineered a highly optimized cloud-native solution with particular attention to performance and scalability requirements. The reporting platform was implemented as a responsive single-page application (SPA) that efficiently utilizes client-side resources to minimize server load and enhance user experience. The backend architecture follows modern microservices principles, implementing a completely stateless design powered by Spring Boot technology, which ensures seamless horizontal scalability and high availability. To address the challenges posed by the large volumes of redundantly stored historical data, our team executed a comprehensive database restructuring initiative, implementing advanced indexing strategies and query optimization techniques that dramatically improved data processing efficiency and reduced response times.

Performance

As a direct result of our implementation, all SVT partners now have secure, role-based access to their proprietary tachograph data organized into customizable, actionable reports through an intuitive dashboard interface. The comprehensive analytics available in the new reporting module deliver significant operational benefits across multiple business areas: fleet managers can proactively monitor drivers' working hours and rest periods in real-time, ensuring optimal resource allocation while maintaining full compliance with stringent international transport safety regulations. The system's detailed audit trails and automatically generated compliance reports substantially streamline regulatory inspections and can serve as legally admissible documentation during enforcement proceedings or insurance claims, significantly reducing administrative burden and potential liability risks.
